SEB is one of the leading banks in Estonia and the wider Baltic region. It has invested heavily in digital banking and customer experience, making its internet and mobile banking platforms central to its service offering.
I joined SEB as an external UX/UI Designer and spent over 1.5 years contributing to two major initiatives: Micro-Investments and the Account Statements redesign. Working on these strategically important products provided an opportunity to help enhance the bank's digital customer experience while delivering intuitive, user-centered, and visually refined design solutions.
Throughout both projects, I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and fellow designers to translate complex business and user requirements into effective digital experiences. Being entrusted with initiatives that impacted a large number of customers was both rewarding and motivating. I am proud to have played a significant role in these projects and to have contributed to the successful delivery of solutions that improved usability, accessibility, and overall customer satisfaction.

Micro-investments
As part of SEB's digital investment offering, I contributed to the design of the Micro-Investments product, a solution designed to make investing more accessible and effortless for everyday banking customers. The product enables users to automatically invest small amounts of money generated from their daily card transactions, helping them build long-term savings and investment habits through a simple, automated process.
As a UX/UI Designer, I collaborated closely with product owners, business stakeholders, developers, and fellow designers throughout the design process. My responsibilities included exploring user needs, designing user flows, creating wireframes and high-fidelity interfaces, and ensuring a seamless integration of the investment experience within SEB's existing digital banking ecosystem.
The project required balancing business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user expectations while maintaining clarity and simplicity in a traditionally complex financial domain. Through close collaboration and iterative design, we delivered an intuitive and engaging experience that lowered the barrier to investing and supported SEB's goal of helping customers improve their financial well-being.
Account statement
Led the UX/UI design of the account statements experience within SEB's internet banking platform, covering a wide range of functionalities, including accounts, cards, accounts held with other banks, fees, generated statements, and recurring statements.
The project began with a discovery phase focused on understanding user needs, business requirements, and the existing experience. This included facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, and analyzing the current account statements ecosystem to identify opportunities for improvement.
Following the research and analysis phase, I led the UX/UI design process in close collaboration with the project team and stakeholders across the Baltic region. Throughout the project, I developed user flows, wireframes, and interface designs, while continuously validating solutions through feedback and discussion. Design concepts and progress were regularly presented to SEB's Baltic design community, ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and consistency across markets.
The project is currently in progress and will be launched to customers in the near future.
